Brief them without micromanaging
Here’s an example of a real creator brief that goes out to clients:
UGC Creator Brief: (Company) “Day in the Life” Video
Brand Overview
(Company) is a Brooklyn-based coworking community built for people who’ve outgrown working from home or cafés. With seven neighborhood locations, (Company) provides a quiet, design-forward space to focus, complete with all the amenities: coffee, tea, snacks, phone booths, conference rooms, and transparent pricing.
Project Goal
We want to create an authentic, aspirational Day in the Life video that shows what it’s like to work at (Company). The video should inspire viewers to imagine themselves working here, making them want to book a tour and join the community.
Concept
- Style: First-person, casual vlog/UGC style.
- Storyline: Walk us through your day using (Company) as your workspace.
- Morning setup/ routine: leaving home, walking through the neighborhood.
- Arriving at (Company) (show exterior sign/storefront).
- Setting up at your desk.
- Grabbing coffee/tea, a quick snack.
- Taking a call in a phone booth.
- Showing one of the outdoor patios.
- Wrapping up and going home
- Doing something cool after work that reinforces the persona of someone who works at (Company) (Gym, going for a run, going out for drinks with friends etc).
Tone & Feel
- Aspirational but relatable: make it look like the kind of place people want to work.
- Cool, neighborhood vibe: think “I upgraded from the café, but it still feels local and approachable.”
- Energetic yet calm: highlight productivity and flow without making it feel stiff or corporate.
