Wrapping Up: Your Catalyst Journey

All right, that wraps up our Growth Catalysts deep dive! As we said in the beginning, our best-case scenario is that by introducing you to these concepts, you've identified a catalyst that's inherently available to your business today.

However, if not, please be know that is the most common and expected scenario. And in that case, we want you to at least begin thinking about these catalysts and identifying ones that you may be able to engineer your foundation towards over time.

On that note, one quick project to apply what you’ve learned about Growth Catalysts. Jump into the mini-project now. Once you’re done, it’s time to build your growth engine in Part 3. We’ll see you there!

Mini-Project: Current & Future Catalysts

Open your Master Strategy Project and go to the Growth Catalysts section. You’ll see a simple table broken down by the six categories: Market, Product, Model, Channel, Brand, and Company.

Your job is to start filling it out in two passes:

  1. Current Catalysts – Add any catalysts you believe exist in your business today.
  2. Future Catalysts – Add any catalysts you think you could intentionally build over time.
    • And provide your thought process in the β€œHow could the catalyst be unlocked?” column to begin fleshing out how your foundation could be modified to unlock the respective β€œfuture” catalysts you’ve identified.
