Project: Define Your Retention Motion

Log your decision in the Master Strategy Project β†’ Growth Motions section. For retention, capture:

  1. Motion choice: Product-led, Sales-led, or Hybrid.
  2. Viability: Mark as Viable Now or Viable Later.
  3. Analysis of viability: Why is it viable or not yet? (e.g. product complexity, ARPU, customer expectations, current team capacity).
  4. System alignment: How well does this motion align with your:
    • Guardrails (CAC, ARPU, payback, budget)
    • Foundational Five (esp. product + market fits)
    • Alignment factors (velocity, commitment, cost)
    • Story System (how your retention motion reinforces your core story and customer journey)
