Work at Demand Curve

Build best-in-class products and services for founders and marketers. Help lead our worldwide community of growth marketers.
We've helped grow some of the largest startups:

You're working with the best.

We're Demand Curve. Our growth knowledge comes from our growth agency and our large marketer community. We also run growth talks for Y Combinator, TechCrunch, and Google.

Role: VP of Growth Strategy

Company: Bell Curve

Bell Curve started out as a full-service growth agency based in San Francisco, and we quickly found ourselves working with some of the fastest growing startups and enterprises in the world. We've grown dozens of companies from zero to millions in revenue. We've worked with Microsoft, Framer, Streak, Clearbit, Service, Tovala, Perfect Keto, and many others. We've written the most popular guide on growth, we give talks at places like Google and Y Combinator, and our work is often used as case studies for ad channels.

We are currently looking for someone to be our VP of Growth Strategy.

The role can be broken down as follows:

1

Grow our clients business. Work with our clients to develop effective growth strategies. Then work with our wider team to execute them. This is an opportunity to go inside some of the most exciting startups and learn how they tick. You will contribute to their growth strategy and tactics, anticipate their needs, and identify new opportunities. And you'll develop close relationships with their founders and marketers.

2

Grow OUR business. You will ideate and develop new services and products, expanding our capabilities to address the needs of our clients. In the most practical sense, this looks like constantly bringing new strategies and ideas to our clients, getting them excited and growing our revenue.

3

Recruit, Hire, Manage and Coach. We expect you to be a leader. That means you will recruit, hire, manage and coach a team of A+ growth marketers.

Who you are

There's a good chance our ideal candidate comes from a product marketing background or an in-house growth team at a startup. Why? Because we're looking for someone who understands strategy and the interdependencies across departments required to really unlock growth. As opposed to a tactician, platform expert, or growth-hacker.

Agency expertise is welcomed too — assuming you worked across departments and built a robust, cross-discipline expertise in all things growth.

Wherever you come from, your output can be described with one word: "Quality."

Why work here

Agencies have a bad rep right now. And to be honest, we think most agencies suck too...

So, here are some of the things we're doing to change that, and why we think working at Bell Curve is so rewarding:

1

We only work with the clients we want. We have spent a lot of time building our reputation, and people genuinely want to work with us. This means we can pick and choose who we decide to onboard. In addition, we run super lean. We don't have bloated overhead so there's no artificial sales pressure.

2

We're not a sweatshop. Agencies are notorious for long hours. Not us — we're just not into that. Burning the midnight oil generally means something is wrong. To avoid this we are very purposeful with how we scope and service our clients. And, if we need extra help, we get it. We don't kick the can down the road.

3

You will leave here a better entrepreneur. We don't expect you to stay here forever, and we want you to leave with the knowledge, skills, experience and network to take on whatever challenge comes next. You'll see across dozens of businesses, verticals, and challenges. We will push you to understand business holistically. You will get access to one of the best networks of founders and marketers in the world. (The Bell Curve / Demand Curve community is unrivaled.) And we will actively work with you on developing your personal brand and reputation if that is one of your goals.

Working at an agency isn't for everyone, especially not one that holds itself to such a high quality of output like ours, but it if sounds like something you're looking for, please apply. We need people who can rise to the challenge. And, in return, we provide an environment of expertise and kindness from which to become a master.
