The next layer to your growth system is strategy. I do want to point out how strategy isn't at the top of your system. Many people think that growth starts with a growth strategy.
That isn't how we think about it. We define strategy quite simply as problem-solving. Strategy guides how we go about solving a problem and, in the context of growth, how we go about using our engine and the components it’s made of.
However, we can’t construct a strategy until we fully understand the foundation and the inner workings of how our business is intended to grow. We can't build a strategy until we've identified the catalysts available to us. Or the unique motions that power the engine. Once we have those components in place, then can create our strategy: a guiding policy that informs not only the problem we’re trying to solve, but how we will wield the tools in our execution and tactical layer to solve it.
